Crystal Gold

I have the original MFK BR 540. I can barely detect it on me after a couple of hours. For what it costs, I expected longevity so decided to try Alt. The Crystal Gold is very similar in scent profile, but I'm having the same issue with longevity. I also bought the Crystal No.23. It seems far more concentrated than the Gold, and it has a slightly sweeter note. I would definitely purchase No.23 again. It smells just like the original.

The Crystal smells amazing. I don't smell anything from Crystal Gold

Kinda disappointed that I am not able to catch the amazing notes the Gold is supposed to have. I've even tried layering it with Chrystal and I have to say the original Crystal has the Gold beat! I've never had this happen with a fragrance 🤷‍♀️. I've thought about sending the Gold back 🤷‍♀️

I have the original and thought I'd give Alt Crystal Gold a try. I'm kinda nose blind to the scent now. After the initial 30 minutes or so of applying I can barely detect it on me. I did a blind test with my husband. He thought they are very similar, but one has a "dusty" quality which is the Alt version. I think it's due to the lingering scent of alcohol as it dries down. However, it becomes cleaner and smoother, and the notes reminiscent of BR come through.
